It was a rainy day today as the 25th Cadillac Area Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Class’ held their Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for the Splash Pad at The Plaza to kick off CHS 2016 Homecoming celebrations!

Construction Update 9/19

The Splash Pad was tested last week and was everything we hoped it to be! It’ll be fun for kids of all ages during the day and beautiful at night with the LED lights.

The drinking fountain and the mister bar are already operational. We will activate the water bottle filling station on the drinking fountain in a couple weeks. A plaque will be installed by the Splash Pad control box that recognizes the Leadership Team and the key donors for their contribution in raising the funds to pay for the Splash Pad. We Made It – Thank You Cadillac!

Our community should be so proud of those who stepped up and rose to this challenge, helping fund The Market – and we did it with 2 days to spare! We now will receive a $50,000 match from the State of Michigan above and beyond what was donated over the past 28 days.

Construction Update 9/12

Some exciting things have been happening in the Plaza the last few weeks! Final paving is scheduled for this Friday.  Pavement Markings are scheduled for Monday. So with that said, the parking lot will be barricaded off for those tasks.

We will need to have full access to the lots, Elks Avenue, and parking along Harris Street and Cass Street so we can get everything paved in 1 day. Parking spot striping will be fairly quick but we need to provide time for it to dry before allowing anyone to park in the spaces. Smears are not good! Thank You in advance for parking elsewhere those days.
