Cadillac Commons Update 6/30

Cadillac Commons Update 6/30

Curbs are in and the parking lot is being prepared to be paved! Thursday morning we will start to pave the base course of asphalt, it will take most of the day Friday. When the asphalt has cooled, it will be opened for parking for the weekend events!

The parking lots will be closed on and off as Elmer’s finishes construction and as the Plaza area, splash pad, fireplace, and amenities are being constructed/installed. At the very end of the project, a second course of asphalt
will be placed and then the parking spaces will be painted. You will see 10 handicap spaces at the access points which […]

Cadillac Commons Update 6/22

The curb and the project site outline is shaped like a parking lot again! You can see the driveway entrances, the edges of the Splash Pad, and the additional parking space areas on Cass and Harris. The light pole foundations are in, as well as the water line and the fireplace gas meter.

Construction of The Plaza at Cadillac Commons is humming along, and over the past couple of weeks a
lot of work has been accomplished. Most of the work done has been underground, and includes items
such as the fresh water line for the Splash Pad, installation of conduit for the electric, lighting, and sound
system, and the bases for the decorative light poles. Drainage structures and the storm sewer pipes are also in, and curb work has started.

A base layer of asphalt for parking should be in place by the Freedom Festival, and could be used for parking, however once the event is over, the area will be closed […]

Team Elmer’s is almost done excavating the topsoil out from underneath the alley and parking lot. Then, the sand fill will be placed and compacted which will raise the parking lot to the correct sub-base grade. The upcoming week will bring a LOT of underground work; the water line for the Splash Pad, the gas line for the Fireplace, installation of conduit for the electric, lighting, and sound system, and the bases for the decorative light poles. The curb line around the Parking Lot has been staked and is getting ready to be poured. The large light pole in the southwest corner will be erected in […]
